Welcome to Ettrick Alpacas

We are a small livestyle property in Ettrick, near Roxburgh Central Otago, on which we started a small Alpaca farm in November 2021.

We initially purchased 60 females, of which 45 proved to be pregnant, resulting a quite a large herd of animals.

During the drought we had that year, it became clear that we had to reduce the amount of animals, and currently we are in the process of selling some of.

Our future planning is to breed a small herd of alpacas for their fleece, and trying to improve the quality of this.
